The Stanford Teacher Education Program (STEP) is a nationally renowned 12-month full time program preparing future teacher leaders at the elementary and secondary levels. STEP integrates a world-class academic program with a well-supported, yearlong classroom placement. Upon completion, graduates receive a Master of Arts in Education from Stanford University and a preliminary California multiple or single subject credential.
Candidates can apply to one of the following areas:
- Elementary Education
- Teaching of English
- Teaching of History/Social Science
- Teaching of Math
- Teaching of Science (biology, chemistry, earth science or physics)
- Teaching of World Languages (Spanish, Mandarin, French, German or Japanese)

STEP is a summer start program. Please select Education MA and "summer term 2013-14" to begin your online application. To apply to STEP select one of the program specializations (ie. Elementary Education or Teaching of "subject").
